Immunizations
Garfield County Health District offers immunizations (vaccines) to infants, children and adults. Vaccines protect your child against many childhood diseases such as diptheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, measles and many others.
Washington school law requires that children be immunized before they enter school. New changes to that law require 7th and 8th grade students be immunized against Hepatitis B and receive a second vaccine dose of Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. Varicella immunizations are now required for children entering kindergarten and 1st grade. Vaccine schedules are available at the Center for Disease Control website.
