Q: What is FILE OF LIFE?
A: The FILE OF LIFE complements the 911 system. It is a mini medical history posted on your refrigerator. The FILE OF LIFE card enabled medics to obtain a quick medical history when a patient is unable to offer one. This card also eliminates the risk of a patient who may be in a frightened state, forgetting to mention something important. The card, which is kept in a red plastic pocket labeled FILE OF LIFE lists the patients name, emergency medical contacts, insurance policy, social security number, health problems, medications, dosages, allergies, recent surgery, religion, and a health care proxy. We also have a smaller version of the FILE OF LIFE card which is made to carry in your purse or wallet. Call us at 509-843-3494 if you are interested in receiving a FILE OF LIFE card.
