Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19 (CoronaVirus), the Courthouse, including the Treasurer's Office remains open for business BUT CLOSED TO PUBLIC ACCESS.
In response to the economic impacts stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, Garfield County encourages property owners to pay property taxes as early in April as possible, to help fund vital services needed now and in the months to come.
Taxpayers who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and are unable to pay 1st half tax are asked to contact the Treasurer's Office at (509)843-1531 before April 30th.
Property taxes payments can be made via mail with check or cashier's check to PO Box 340, Pomeroy, WA 99347, or placed in the drop box located near the front doors or in the ballot box at the East side of the Courthouse. Cash should not be placed in the drop boxes. If a cash payment must be made, please call the office between 8:30-5:00 weekdays to arrange an appointment for payment. Taxes may also be paid by debit, credit card or e-check (see link below) or call (833)819-5113. There will be a Point & Pay convenience fee of $3.95 if using a Visa debit card or 2.50% for all other cards and a $1.50 fee for e-checks. You will see these fees before you submit your payment.
